CHAIR BERT  STEDMAN called the  Senate Health and  Social Services                                                            
Standing Committee  meeting to order  at 1:31 p.m. Present  at the                                                              
call to order were Senators Giessel, Stoltze, and Chair Stedman.                                                                
                                                                                                                                
         SB 124-EXTEND SUNSET ON AK COMMISSION ON AGING

CHAIR  STEDMAN announced  the consideration  of SB  124. He  noted                                                              
that the bill had been previously heard on February 1, 2016.

SENATOR  STOLTZ,  sponsor  of  SB 124,  explained  that  the  bill                                                              
extends the  termination of the  Alaska Commission on  Aging eight                                                              
years until June 30, 2024.

SENATOR  GIESSEL  moved to  report  SB 124,  labeled  29-LS1235\A,                                                              
from  committee  with  individual   recommendations  and  attached                                                              
fiscal note. There being no objection, the motion carried.
